From Garden to Glory — album cover. A luminous tree of life over a celestial city.

Debut Album

From Garden
to Glory

Thirteen tracks. One story. From the first dawn of Creation to the New Creation that comes at the end of all things — sung from the voice of a witness who stood and watched it all happen.

About

Cephas is the recording project of Hardus Havenga — independent songwriter and producer based in South Africa. From Garden to Glory is the debut release: a 65-minute song cycle written and produced over the course of a year, anchored line-by-line in the text of Scripture and built to be heard end-to-end like a single piece of music.

The arrangements draw on orchestral rock, full choir, sub-bass and anthemic crescendo — what listeners have called epic cinematic worship. Each of the first twelve tracks tells one movement of the salvation story: Creation, the Fall, the Patriarchs, the Exodus, the Kings and the Exile, the four-hundred-year silence, the Incarnation, the public ministry, the Cross, the Resurrection, Pentecost, and the New Creation. The thirteenth track is an overture that weaves the whole story together in one closing medley.

The album was released on all major streaming platforms in April 2026 through Ditto Music.
